Croatia is full of small bays
The Croatian coast is full of small bays that, despite the influx of tourists in the summer months, have remained hidden from the wider crowds. Some of these beaches are located in hard-to-reach places, others lie on remote islands, and yet others have certain characteristics that, for various reasons, are not to the taste of most vacationers. However, this does not diminish their uniqueness and beauty.
We have prepared a list for you and with it some ideas on where to go while you are at sea. We are not thinking of beaches like Zlatni Rat on Brač, Cape Kamenjak, Paradise Beach on Rab, and similar ones, but those that can be reached by boat. Those where you won't be packed like sardines and where the water is crystal clear, nature is unspoiled, and you will enjoy much-needed peace.
Korčula
If you are a lover of beauty, then this is one of the corners you must visit – Vaja Beach. Although it is possible to reach it on foot, the path is quite challenging, so we recommend visiting it during your sailing adventure. The turquoise sea, fine pebbles, and rich underwater world will leave you speechless.
Koludarac
On the northern side of the island of Koludarac (Mali Lošinj) lies the Bay of the English, which can only be reached by sea. But don't worry – the beach is for everyone, not just the English. The peculiarity of the beach is its location, as it can be found in a secluded cove, and the ground is pebbly. The Mediterranean forest, which extends almost to the sea, provides additional beauty and shade.
Pasjača
You will find the beach in Konavle, in the town of Popovići, a little further from Dubrovnik. It is one of Dubrovnik's best-kept secrets. The hidden beach is located under steep cliffs, and access, besides the sea, is only possible by descending a steep staircase carved into the rock. This place is a true paradise for lovers, romantic souls, those who dislike crowds, and those who adore small pebbles and crystal-clear sea.
Dugi Otok
Sailors are also enthusiastic about Dugi Otok. Particularly interesting is Sakarun, which looks like a kind of tropical island. The approximately 800-meter-long beach on the northwest of the island near the settlements of Veli Rat, Soline, and Božava was recently included in the list of the most beautiful bays in the world. You will be amazed by the beauty of the turquoise blue sea combined with the white sand covering the shallow seabed. Definitely a good reason to sail there this year.
Pakleni Islands
These islands are another gem of nautical tourism. You will enjoy its beauty the most if you go there by sailboat. Here you will find a particularly beautiful cove, Ždrilca, which boasts several beautiful pebble beaches. Mline stands out, where you can enjoy top-notch gastronomic offerings and peace.
Pelješac
On the northern side of the Pelješac peninsula lies the small fishing village of Duba Pelješka. The pebble beach is not accessible by car, so you will enjoy peace, beautiful nature, and clean sea.
These beaches are waiting to be discovered and enjoyed in all the beauty they offer. Now you just need the right yacht, which you can choose HERE. If you need a skipper to take you to all these locations without worry, write to us at booking@prima-sailing.com.
